Established in 1986 Jarratt Hills Kennels was born out a shortage of local kennels. Originally run as a family affair. Judi says "we ran a small riding school and livery yard but every summer we had friends and livery customers wanting us to care for their dogs that they couldn’t get in to local kennels". Judi & Steve together with their son & daughter soon established a broad customer base with a reputation value for money. Jarratt Hills tendered and won the contract with Humberside Police to kennel stray dogs, little did we realise how it would become a major part of our business for the next twenty years.

Although we still kennel for Humberside Police in situations when the police are involved with dogs we now concentrate on our core business which is you and your pet. In conjunction with our boading services we can now offer training during your dog's stay provided by a professional handler. We can now also offer a 48hr doorstep delivery of most dry dog foods.

From the original thirteen kennels we now have more than fifty kennels and thirty cat pens, Jarratt Hills still represents the best value for money in the area.

Kennelling for large organisations such as Humberside Police, Social Services, Retired Greyhound Trust and others has enabled us to keep our kennel occupancy high and therefore we are able to offer substantial savings over other kennels in the area. People frequently book 11 months in advance in order to secure kennelling at peak periods.

Steve and Judi together with full time staff are able to offer a range of dog and cat options. Our main kennels are of block construction but by using some of the original buildings on the farm we are able to offer different areas suitable for dogs with special needs.

Our cattery is of traditional timber construction and offers an insulated sleeping/living area with a lower outer exercise area

Because of our country position, many clients take advantage of our collection and delivery service leaving them free to prepare for their holiday. To keep delivery/collection charges low we operate the following system - we collect on a "best before" an arranged time basis and deliver on "as soon as we can after" you’ve notified your arrival home. We would normally only arrange one delivery/collection route per day during normal working hours

Regularly inspected and licensed by the local authority Jarratt Hills actively support all animal charities.

Important
Although we live on the premises, we are unable to justify an "open all hrs" policy therefore we must insist that anyone trying to collect their pet out of hrs, telephones and speaks to us to arrange an appointment before arriving. Leaving an answer phone message does not guarantee that there will be anybody free to deal with you should you arrive.
